WHAT IS THE MINIMUM BID?

Bidding will take place in incremental values of £2 – £20 depending on the pack being auctioned.

HOW OFTEN WILL THE AUCTIONS TAKE PLACE?

Auctions will be listed every Monday and can run for either; 48 Hrs, 72 hrs or 7 days. Auctions will end on the given day at 9pm, if not specified beforehand. No auction end times will run between 9pm and 9am.

DO YOU SHIP OUTSIDE THE UK

Yes we do, however any parcels shipped outside of the UK The British Seed Company can not be held responsible for. Overseas bidders do so at their own risk and in the unlikely event a parcel is stopped, lost or seized there will be no replacements or refunds.

How do I sell my seeds?

You can submit your seeds for auction via our submission form here.

How much does it cost?

BSC will take:

• 20% of all auction lots.

WHAT IF THE ITEM DOESN’T SELL?

If the item is not sold or reserve not met, BSC will contact the seller to discuss lowering the reserve price and re-listing.

HOW MANY TIMES CAN I LIST MY ITEM?

BSC will list products twice with a reserve. If the item does not sell after the 2nd listing, it can be re-listed without a reserve. Seeds not sold can be returned to the seller providing the seller pays for P&P upfront.

Can I manage my own auctions?

Currently, this feature is not available but we may add it in future.

What happens if a buyer doesn’t pay?

If a bidder doesn’t pay you then have a choice to either offer it to the second highest bidder or re-list the auction.

WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU TAKE?

We take all card payments however there will be a 7% surcharge for this method. We also take bank transfers and Bitcoin – please note we accept bank transfers into either our UK, European or US accounts which will minimise fees.

Can I add seeds to a watchlist?

We have a subscribe to auction feature on every auction.

Are all seeds verified?

All seeds are sent to us for verification before listing on our auction site.

How long will I have to pay after the auction ends?

3 days/ 72 hours unless we have spoken or been in contact.

WHAT IF I WIN AND DECIDE I DON’T WANT THE SEEDS?

Then please let us know as soon as possible, we understand that sometimes situations change but please respect the work we put in so we don’t waste our time.

What increments do bids go up in?

If I enter my maximum bid, will the site make bids automatically?

No, you will have to bid what you are willing to pay. We are looking in to streamlining the auctions site and making it run as efficiently as possible.

What notifications will I receive?

– When you have successfully bid.
– When an auction you’ve bid on or subscribed to is about to end.
– When the highest bid outbid.
– When you’ve won an auction.
– When an auction has ended without meeting the reserve.
– When an auction has ended without bids.
– When an auction ends without a winner.
– When an admin has deleted a bid

Are there any extra fee’s?

Do you offer discounts, coupons or affiliate commissions on auctions?

We don’t offer any discounts, coupons or affiliate commissions for auctions.

How do you prevent ‘snipe bidding’?

To prevent ‘sniping’ auctions, if a bid is made in the last 5 minutes of an auction, the auction time will be extended by a further 5 minutes.
